Making a difference

In 2016, the founder of GOT BAG developed the world's first backpack made entirely from plastic waste. Based on this, the GOT BAG brand was launched, which has set itself the task of campaigning for cleaner oceans and the responsible use of plastic. GOT BAG products are made from existing materials using innovative methods.

We at koffer24 are enthusiastic about this idea. GOT BAG products are not only sustainable and good for the environment, they all have a timeless design and high-quality workmanship. We are happy to support this and therefore offer you an extensive selection of products from GOT BAG.

Plastic-free oceans everywhere

Even as a child, Benjamin, the founder of GOT BAG, noticed how much plastic waste there was on the beach and in the sea. On closer investigation, he realized that disposable bottles, bowls, ropes, etc. do not disappear from the water even after several hundred years. They pose a huge threat to the marine habitat.

A solution had to be found and so the idea of making backpacks from marine plastic was born. This was achieved in 2016 with the development of the world's first plastic-free backpack. Since then, the GOT BAG company has made it its mission to actively combat the ongoing littering of the oceans.

When you choose a backpack from GOT BAG, you are actively supporting this mission. Protecting the oceans and the environment is important to the brand. Nevertheless, great importance is attached to the high quality of the bags and backpacks. So you are not only stylish, but also on the go with a clear conscience.

Using natural resources and taking action against the climate crisis - that's what GOT BAG stands for.

Communication is important

The fishermen who work with GOT BAG as part of the clean-up program have become an important part of the mission. Not only do they actively ensure clean oceans, they also pass on their knowledge. They tirelessly communicate information about plastic waste and thus raise environmental awareness in their communities, which should have a significant impact on a network of around 2,000 fishermen.

The local government is happy to support the project and is in close contact with GOT BAG. Together they are looking for long-term solutions to protect the oceans.

Collecting Ocean Impact Plastic

GOT BAG takes its mission seriously and has launched a clean-up program in Demak, on the north coast of Java in Indonesia. A network of around 2,000 fishermen collects plastic as by-catch from the sea. GOT BAG requires between 1.5 and 5 kg of plastic for one product. That is 50 tons per month.

Of course, as part of this program, care is taken to ensure that not only the plastic required for production is collected from the oceans. All other types of plastic are also recycled and the sea is gradually freed from the plastic that does not dissolve by itself.
